New Fable 2
The New Fable series spans cultures and eras. Animals and people interact and symbolism comes into play to create a new story. When I paint these images, they tell me what the elements of the new fable are. I name them abstractly so you can find your story in the picture.
This piece is a departure from my usual neo-renaissance style. These children wanted to be more Americana and reminiscent of the classic painting, American Gothic.
